March Meeting: 5 Ways to Use Dreams to Break through Blocks and Get the Words Flowing Again

I have long dreamt of having a speaker talk about this topic.

About the topic:

Dreams have the power to:

  • Continuously inspire

  • Blast through fears and creative blocks

  • Provide concrete information for what to write, when to write, and steps to take to get that writing out into the world successfully.

Writers like William Blake, Maya Angelou, Isabel Allende, Stephen King and many others have tapped into the rich imagery, metaphors and stories of their dreams for centuries.

This workshop gives participants the power to use their sleep dreams to solve story problems, dream their story forward, and get new ideas for their current projects and beyond.

About the speaker:

Paula Chaffee Scardamalia is book coach, dream and tarot intuitive, and the author of In the Land of the Vultures (novel), and Tarot for the Fiction Writer. Her new book, Enchanting Creativity: With Fairy Tales, Dreams, Rituals, and Journals, will be released Summer 2022 by Schiffer/Red Feather. For 20+ years, Paula’s presented workshops across the country at: national and regional Romance Writers of America conferences and meetings; the San Diego University Writers Conference; and the International Women’s Writing Guild (IWWG). She serves on the boards of IWWG and the Science Fiction, Fantasy & Paranormal (FF&P) online chapter of RWA. Paula publishes Divine Muse-ings, a weekly e-newsletter (since 2009) on writing, creativity, dreams, and tarot. She was dream consultant for PEOPLE Country Magazine, and is Foreword Magazine’s 2007 award-winning author of Weaving a Woman’s Life: Spiritual Lessons from the Loom.
