About the topic
In Poe @ UVA, Kristin Kisska takes us back in time to 1826. She introduces us to the seventeen-year-old Edgar Allan Poe during his ten months’ tenure studying at the University of Virginia. Learn who he was and how he lived before he became the mercurial literary legend we revere today.
About the Speaker
Kristin Kisska used to be a finance geek, complete with MBA and Wall Street pedigree, but now she is a self-proclaimed fictionista. Kristin contributed short stories of mystery and suspense to nine anthologies, including Malice Domestic’s Agatha Award-winning anthology, MYSTERY MOST EDIBLE (2018). She’s looking forward to releasing her short story of suspense, “Vendetta by the Sea” in VIRGINIA IS FOR MYSTERIES III (November 2021).
Kristin is a member of International Thriller Writers, James River Writers, the Vice President of the Central Virginia chapter of Sisters in Crime, and has been a contributing blogger at SleuthSayers.org.
