Greetings from your club president.

I have four pieces of information to share with you today.

First, I need to apologize to those of you who haven’t been getting the club emails. I had been unaware that my email provider (Sendfox) has a setting where emails would only get sent to active subscribers. That setting has been disabled.

Second, the club will not be having a regular meeting in August. We lost both our speaker and backup speaker, so we do have no main event. I was thinking that we could meet and talk about what we learned at the Symposium, which is next weekend.

Or, if you have a topic you would like to talk about, you have my enthusiastic support.

Third, our club will have a table at the Fredericksburg Book Festival this year. The festival is scheduled for the first weekend in October. If you would like to share the club’s booth, please contact Club VP Bronwen Chisholm.

Fourth, what does everyone think of meeting in person in October or November? Our September speaker is remote, but our speaker for October lives near Richmond, and could drive up for the club meeting.
